Why do Tail-Wind Tarps last longer?

Sometimes bin manufacturers, while making great tippers, save a little bit of $$ on the tarp. The tarp manufacture is obviously outsourced and the quality can’t be monitored as well. It’s common when you buy a new trailer that the PVC is a mid-weight grade known as a 700 GSM (grams per square metre). Tail-Wind Tarps use only 900 GSM (grams per square metre) which is the heavy grade PVC used in truck curtain sides. Additionally, it is sourced and made in Europe instead of Asia and it’s built to last.

Both Tail-Wind Tarps and DKT prefer the best quality for peace of mind on the job!

David Knight Transport is a family owned and operated business based in the agricultural heart of NSW – Grenfell. Owners David and Rebecca Knight are specialist in the transportation of grains, fertilisers and feed and are the transporter of choice of many of larger growers in the region and beyond.

Established in 2002 the business has gone from strength to strength and grown steadily to include a fleet of trucks with a range of trailers including tippers, flat-decks and drop-decks.

DKT trucks typically do long-haul treks crossing the border into other states on a weekly basis. Given the number of kilometres done in a typical week, DKT rely on reliable equipment that will get their cargo through safely to its destination.
