It's great you've got Grain Flaps, now let's make them last!
Grain Flap Survival 101: Keep your tarp closed when tipper is empty
This is ESPECIALLY important and will help you extend the lifespan of your tarp...
Sometimes you see tippers traveling with their tarps open when they are empty. While this can be tempting to do if you are just travelling a little further down the highway for your next load, and the weather is fine and sunny - if you have Grain Flaps fitted to your tarp, this is hands down the quickest way to wear your Grains Flaps out!
The Grain Flap is attached on the tarp near to the fixed edge of the bin which enables it to hang over the rolled tarp when the tarp is rolled open.
When driving with the tarps open, the Grain Flap is exposed and as it is secured on one side only, it is allowed to flap around in the wind, causing it to wear significantly.
Once the tarp is closed, the Grain Flaps simply hang down inside, and without exposure to the wind, the problem is avoided.

We hope this newsletter and its tips help you; it’s just one of the services we offer to keep our customers on the move.
Until next time…
